MEASURMENTS FOR A BUCKLE STYLE DOG COLLAR

Here you will find the proper way how to measure your dogs neck and to select the right size of our handmade buckle dog collars.

When you are buying a Buckle Collar that is In Stock (alias ready to wear) you will always have the measurments that refers (exp. S1 / 25 - 32 cm):

• S1 = this is from Chart Size (size is based on minimum circumference of the collar),
• 25 = 1st number indicates the 1st hole - minimum circumference of the collar,
• 32 = 2nd number indicates the Last hole - maximum circumference of the collar.

(Size Example : S1 : 25 - 32 cm ... will fit neck sizes from 25cm up to 32cm, around the neck!).

How do I measure the old used buckle collar?
Simple way is to wear a buckle dog collar (old one) around your dog's neck. Note which hole you used to closed the collar. Than take a collar off of your dog, close the collar on the used hole and measure from the inside as shown on the photo below. This is the measurement I need to give your dog a proper fit.

Or if you are buying / ordering for a first time a buckle collar and you don't have one right now than measure your dog's neck with a  soft measuring tape as shown on the photo below (you don't have one ... no, problem ask your neighbour I'm sure she will have one :). This is the measure I need to give your dog a proper fit.

NOTE : regularly inspect the collar and leash if it is intacted, no chewing signs on the collar of your dog or other dogs. When playing they are biting around the necks of each other, some dogs are playing more roughly than others. If playing safely on the fields or protected area with other dogs, consider to take off the dog collar.
